Danske Bank, a financial institution based in Denmark, has chosen the Realiti suite from Planixs, a real-time treasury and liquidity management solutions provider headquartered in the UK, to support its treasury transformation efforts.
During an initial proof-of-concept phase, Danske Bank and Planixs worked together to create a functioning Realiti solution within just four weeks. This collaboration resulted in a robust implementation path for full deployment.
Realiti will offer real-time insights into liquidity positions with precise, current balance information, real-time reconciliation of internal and external account balances, and a comprehensive view of settlement status to aid end-of-day forecasting. The platform is designed to meet the European Central Bank (ECB) intraday liquidity policy requirements and supports regulatory engagement.
Enhancing treasury operations and operational benefits
With increasing pressure on banks to manage and optimize intraday liquidity, reduce associated costs, and adhere to evolving regulatory guidelines for liquidity reporting, the Realiti suite will play a crucial role. It will support automated monitoring and control of intraday liquidity usage, along with analysis of factors contributing to liquidity consumption. This approach supports both operational efficiency and risk management.
The proof-of-concept process validated the ability to integrate Realiti with Danske Bank’s existing infrastructure within a tight timeframe. Both teams are now confident about moving forward with full implementation.
Regarding the move, Justin Fox, Head of Group Treasury at Danske Bank, stated that the proof-of-concept phase demonstrated Planixs’ capability to deliver a solution tailored to the bank’s needs and expressed confidence in the partnership’s ability to improve liquidity management.
