The Model Context Protocol (MCP) serves as an open standard facilitating the connection between AI assistants and external tools. By implementing MCP servers, Finix makes its payments infrastructure accessible within AI-assisted development environments, which are becoming increasingly popular among developers.
Developers can now ask questions about Finix’s API using natural language, receiving answers from official documentation. They can also generate code for common payment scenarios, such as creating payment links or onboarding merchants, and iteratively refine these integrations within the same environment.
