DTCC has unveiled plans to introduce advanced equities data portals for its clients, leveraging Snowflake’s AI Data Cloud platform.
Subsequently, DTCC intends to offer next-generation equities data portals that will provide clients with comprehensive access to clearing, settlement, and post-trade processing information via a refreshed interface based on Snowflake’s AI Data Cloud technology.
These new portals will integrate data from various DTCC subsidiaries, including National Securities Clearing Corporation (NSCC) and Depository Trust Corporation (DTC), as well as the firm’s Institutional Trade Processing (ITP) suite of post-trade solutions. The design process involved direct client feedback on their specific data needs and early-stage evaluations.
Key features and technical framework
Built upon Snowflake’s enterprise-grade platform, the portals aim to deliver user-friendly dashboards, advanced data visualizations, and customizable analytical tools. Notable functionalities include a unified view of historical clearing and settlement metrics from NSCC and DTC operations, insights into settlement rates by asset class, tracking of unresolved issues, industry benchmark comparisons, and detailed drill-down capabilities from aggregate figures to individual trade records.
Users will also be able to craft personalized queries and pivot tables through flexible and adaptable views.
The portals are designed primarily for analytical purposes, with data continuously updated to offer insights rather than support real-time transactions.
Scheduled rollouts
The Securities Data Experiences portal, which consolidates data from NSCC and DTC, is currently in beta testing phase for select firms. It is anticipated to be fully launched for clients by the first quarter of 2026. The updated ITP Analytics portal is projected to be rolled out during the second quarter of 2026.
The phased deployment aligns with DTCC’s broader objectives to modernize its post-trade services infrastructure, recognizing it as a key player in the global financial markets. DTCC processes transactions across equities, fixed income, and derivatives sectors, highlighting the significance of clear and accessible operational data for institutional players.
By integrating Snowflake’s cloud-based platform, DTCC is aligning with evolving trends towards scalable, cloud-native solutions in post-trade operations. Enhanced access to structured analytics and benchmarking tools will enable firms to better monitor and assess their clearing and settlement workflows at scale.
A company spokesperson referred to this as a significant achievement in DTCC’s ongoing evolution, emphasizing the importance of combining DTCC’s extensive data resources with cloud-native technologies to deliver superior client experiences.
