Global tech company Wise has recently updated its users’ accounts, offering Pix key and familiar features directly within the platform.

Updates Overview

Since launching its service in Brazil, one of the most frequently utilized functions by Wise’s customers has been adding funds through Pix. This streamlined method optimizes the process of exchanging currencies and making payments. Now, Wise aims to enhance customer experience by integrating Pix key and related functionalities directly into their account.

New Features

  • Users can now register their Pix key with Wise—whether it’s a CPF, CNPJ, phone number, email, or random key.
  • Making payments has become more efficient. Once registered, customers no longer need to open the Wise app and follow multiple steps to add Brazilian reais; they simply use their bank to transfer directly to Wise, with funds immediately available for conversion.
  • Sharing Pix keys allows users to receive transfers directly into their Wise accounts from anyone.
  • The capability to pay with Pix has been extended, enabling customers to send from their Brazilian real balance to any Pix key, pay a QR code, or use the copy-and-paste feature within their Wise account.
  • Users who do not wish to register their Pix keys can still access account details for transactions.

Recent Developments

In related news, Upwork partnered with Wise to introduce faster international payment options for freelancers. This collaboration aims to provide users in selected markets, including parts of South America, Asia-Pacific, and Europe, with quicker cross-border payments via Wise’s network when using the ‘Direct to Local Bank’ option.
