Webull UK has teamed up with investment infrastructure provider Upvest to launch fractional trading in UK-listed stocks and ETFs.

This collaboration allows UK-based users on the Webull platform to start investing in local equities, with a minimum initial investment of just £1.

Previously, Webull UK focused mainly on providing access to US and Asian equities. The integration with Upvest’s API marks an important expansion into the domestic market, broadening the range of assets available to its retail user base.

Upvest’s Expansion in the UK Market

Based in Berlin, Upvest operates across 20 European markets and processes over two million investment orders weekly. The firm aims to triple this volume by year-end through additional client launches aimed at both fintech companies and traditional financial institutions.

According to officials from Upvest, the partnership with Webull UK is part of their broader strategy to simplify access to investment tools for retail clients. This collaboration enables Webull users to begin trading in UK assets while setting the stage for future product expansions.

Webull Group operates in several global markets, including the United States, Australia, and Asia, offering services across 14 jurisdictions with a user base of more than 24 million people globally.

In December 2024, Upvest announced a EUR 100 million Series C funding round. This funding was led by Hedosophia and supported by Sapphire Ventures, with continued backing from existing investors including Bessemer Venture Partners, BlackRock, Earlybird, HV Capital, Motive Ventures, and Notion Capital.

The funds raised are intended to help Upvest grow its team of 170 members, enhance its product offerings, strengthen its presence in the UK market, and deepen its collaborations with financial institutions.
