Viva.com, Europe’s pioneering tech bank for businesses, has introduced Tap to Pay on iPhone in Norway. This initiative facilitates local merchants’ ability to accept contactless payments more efficiently.
Contactless payments, encompassing credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, and various digital wallets, can now be processed using just an iPhone and Viva.com’s Terminal app. Suitable for a wide array of businesses such as retail stores, design studios, mobile vendors, and service providers, this technology streamlines checkout processes and enhances customer experiences.
Optimized Checkout with Viva.com’s Terminal App
The integration of Apple’s Tap to Pay on iPhone technology with Viva.com’s Terminal app transforms any compatible iPhone into a secure, efficient payment solution. To access these features, businesses need only download the Viva.com Terminal app from the Apple App Store onto an iPhone XS or later model running the latest iOS version.
This service supports multiple international card schemes including Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Discover, and Diners. Utilizing built-in security and privacy features of the iPhone, Apple ensures that both business and customer data remain protected during transactions. Card numbers are not stored on Apple servers.
Comprehensive Business Solutions Offered by Viva.com
In addition to contactless payment processing, Viva.com’s All-in-One platform provides merchants with a suite of tools such as instant onboarding, real-time settlement, dynamic currency conversion, offline payments, fiscalisation, and support for 40 different payment methods.
Viva.com’s Market Expansion in Europe
The rollout of Tap to Pay on iPhone technology across Norway followed its introduction in Spain. It was also available in seven other countries—Belgium, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Greece, Luxembourg, and Malta. This move aimed to support businesses by enabling them to accept contactless payments via their mobile devices and the Viva.com Terminal app. Both marketplaces and restaurants could benefit from faster and more seamless checkout processes using contactless credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, and digital wallets.
