Unzer Group, a Germany-based provider of payment and software solutions, has recently introduced Unzer Financial Services. This new service brings together a business bank account and a commercial card within its existing payment and software ecosystem.
The initiative is initially rolled out for merchants in Germany and Austria, with plans to extend it to other European markets.
Accessible via the UnzerOne dashboard, this financial service integrates seamlessly with Unzer’s broader suite of software. Notably, there are no monthly fees associated with the business account, and settled funds are immediately available, facilitating efficient access to revenue for daily operations. The commercial card is issued in collaboration with Mastercard and comes with cash back on eligible spending.
Unified commerce and streamlined cash flow management
The launch aligns with Unzer’s unified commerce strategy aimed at offering a single platform that consolidates payments, software, and financial management for small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). By streamlining payment settlements directly into a business account and commercial card within the same dashboard, it addresses the fragmentation often faced by smaller merchants managing multiple systems.
This integration provides real-time visibility of both incoming revenues and outgoing expenses in one interface, aiding in cash flow planning without the need for separate banking relationships or additional software tools.
The move follows Unzer’s acquisition of AllCash POS business in eastern Germany and its intentions to launch unified commerce solutions in Denmark later this year, showcasing a broader platform expansion strategy.
Robert Bueninck, CEO at Unzer, emphasized that the service is part of the company’s efforts to bring payments and banking closer together as part of building more simplified financial tools for all sizes of businesses.
