UniCredit Launches New International Payment Service in Partnership with Wise

UniCredit recently announced the introduction of a new international payment service designed for retail customers. This initiative is part of a collaboration between UniCredit and Wise, aiming to enhance the banking experience by integrating fast, secure, and transparent foreign-currency payments into UniCredit’s mobile banking application.

This new service will allow users to send EUR in various foreign currencies with the same ease as domestic transfers. Clients from Italy can now quickly make international payments to selected countries such as the UK (GBP), Switzerland (CHF), Hong Kong (HKD), Singapore (SGD), and India (INR). The company is planning to expand this service to more currencies in the future.

Details of UniCredit’s Product Launch

The launch builds on UniCredit’s history of improving payment solutions, including the use of UC PayFX for embedded foreign exchange (FX) conversion and advanced FX management. Both companies are committed to meeting customer needs while ensuring regulatory compliance in a rapidly changing market.

UniCredit plans to roll out this service to its Italian customers starting from July 21, 2025, with future expansion to other countries anticipated.
