Global technology services provider DXC has recently entered into a strategic 10-year agreement with Unicaja, aimed at enhancing and modernizing the banking operations of the latter.
DXC’s Expertise in Modern Banking Solutions
As part of this collaboration, DXC will leverage its expertise in technologies like artificial intelligence (AI), automation, agility, and customer experience improvement. By integrating intelligent banking solutions with their industry knowledge, DXC seeks to help Unicaja boost efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction, positioning the bank as a leader in digital banking innovation.
Focusing on AI and Regulatory Compliance
This agreement aligns with Unicaja’s 2025-2027 strategy, which aims to advance through solutions that enhance customer service, personalize products, and increase operational flexibility. The partnership will also focus on ensuring secure banking systems that comply with European regulations.
DXC’s Strategic Acquisition and Leadership
In addition to the ongoing collaboration, DXC plans to acquire FK2, a Unicaja Group company. This move will bring leadership of a specialized team with deep banking and technology expertise. Representatives from DXC highlighted that this partnership further strengthens their position in the banking sector and emphasizes their commitment to operational development and helping banks like Unicaja achieve business transformation through AI-enabled tools.
Supporting Current Workforce and Future Growth
Collaborating with DXC will enable Unicaja to benefit from enhanced tools and capabilities that optimize the current teams’ work, while preparing for a more intelligent operating model. This move is expected to support the bank in addressing evolving challenges within the financial sector.
Further Initiatives
Earlier this year, Unicaja also joined forces with Fiserv at the start of 2025 to develop advanced payment and e-commerce solutions. This partnership aimed to meet the growing needs of merchants in various sectors across Spain by combining Unicaja’s financial expertise with Fiserv’s technological capabilities.
