Zip US, a digital payments services company, has announced an expansion of its partnership with Stripe to boost merchant growth.

With this integration, Zip is now accessible through Stripe’s optimized checkout solutions—Elements, Checkout, and Payment Links. This move will empower U.S. merchants to tap into a wider customer base that might have been overlooked by traditional financial service providers or other BNPL competitors.

A new approach in enabling BNPL payments

Zip focuses on crafting innovative financial solutions with robust decision-making capabilities and user-friendly payment experiences, aiding merchants to expand their sales. By adding installment options at the checkout, Zip assumes full payment risk, streamlining the process for merchants.

Main advantages for merchants include effortless activation, enhanced reach, improved conversion rates, and immediate upfront payments. Enabling Zip directly from their Stripe dashboard takes just seconds, connecting them with high-potential shoppers who might have been disregarded by conventional financial service providers.

By incorporating BNPL as a payment option at checkout, merchants can boost order values, lower cart abandonment rates, and foster customer loyalty. Moreover, when customers opt for the BNPL method, merchants receive full payment upfront, transferring all risk to Zip.

The broader reach of this partnership

This collaboration aims to make flexible payments more accessible across the U.S., attracting both new merchants and shoppers. The integration is now available to Stripe users based in the U.S. operating with USD transactions.

Founded in 2013, Zip operates in Australia and other major markets such as New Zealand, offering point-of-sale credit and digital payment services that cater to diverse sectors.
