Embedded card-linked instalments provider Splitit has launched an invite-only partner program designed to integrate pay-later features into Agentic AI.

Splitit Agentic Commerce Partner Program

The Splitit Agentic Commerce Partner Program aims to bring card-linked instalment options directly into autonomous shopping agents, AI systems that can search, recommend, and make purchases on behalf of consumers and businesses. Splitit officials believe this partnership will be crucial in shaping future purchasing behaviors as AI increasingly influences how individuals and enterprises shop.

Splitit intends to work with merchants, platforms, networks, and banks to create beneficial use cases for both shoppers and brands.

More on Splitit’s Agentic AI Initiative

As more consumers and businesses turn to generative AI for recommendations and gift ideas, product research, decision-making, and purchasing are undergoing significant changes. According to recent Adobe data, 53% of consumers plan to use AI tools for product research during the holiday season, while 40% intend to rely on them for personalized recommendations.

Splitit’s offering includes:

  • Native AI payments, allowing registered AI agents to request real-time instalment options directly within merchant checkout processes without users needing to redirect or establish new credit lines;
  • Utilization of existing cards, enabling customers to pay with their current credit or debit cards. Splitit’s platform handles plan creation and payments in the background while ensuring merchants are still paid upfront;
  • Incorporation on open standards, aligning with emerging industry frameworks like Google’s AP2 and OpenAI’s Agentic Commerce Protocol for flexibility and interoperability across different AI ecosystems.

Splitit intends to launch its Agentic Commerce pilot program in the fourth quarter of 2025. Interested parties such as merchants, networks, and payment providers should contact Splitit directly for application details.
