Shopify and DHL Expand Global Logistics Integration

Shopify merchants in the United States and Germany can now leverage DHL’s shipping services directly within their platform. This integration, designed to simplify cross-border logistics, marks an expanded partnership between the two companies.

The feature is set to roll out across more markets from 2025 to 2026, continuing to streamline shipping options for international eCommerce.

By embedding DHL functionality within Shopify Shipping, merchants can access DHL’s delivery network in over 220 countries and territories without needing separate onboarding processes. Tools are provided to support customs clearance and tax compliance, making the process easier and reducing administrative burdens.

DHL Integration within Shopify

The integration allows sellers to connect with DHL’s delivery network via the Shopify Shipping platform. This feature helps remove common barriers merchants face, such as navigating duties, customs, and delivery arrangements in unfamiliar territories.

According to a representative from DHL, this collaboration aims to provide a seamless shipping experience for both buyers and sellers by consolidating these processes into one convenient interface.

In the U.S., the integration supports Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) shipping. Under this model, merchants handle all import-related charges in advance, reducing the risk of unexpected costs at delivery time.

Future Expansion

The DHL-embedded shipping solution is slated to expand across several eCommerce markets in Europe, the Americas, and Asia-Pacific over the next two years.

This development aligns with Shopify’s objective to offer a scalable shipping solution that evolves with merchants’ needs.
