Shardeum Launches USD 700,000 Bug Bounty Program
Shardeum, an autoscaling EVM-based layer-1 blockchain, has partnered with Immunefi to initiate a significant bug bounty program worth $700,000. This initiative marks Shardeum’s first collaboration of its kind, inviting individuals to perform ethical hacking and identify bugs and vulnerabilities within the system.
While Shardeum has already undergone several internal security audits with third-party vendors, this bug bounty program offers an unprecedented opportunity for participants to demonstrate their skills. Upon submitting a proper proof of concept and showing replicability, individuals will be rewarded with bounties. The collaboration with Immunefi ensures seamless global recruitment and participation from developers.
Boost Program Details
The bug bounty program includes two “boost” phases, each with its unique bounty structure:
-
The “Core” boost will offer a total of $500,000 in bounties.
-
The “Ancillary” boost will provide an additional $200,000 in bounties.
Partnership with Immunefi
Officials from Shardeum are enthusiastic about this partnership with Immunefi. They emphasize the importance of community engagement and view the bug bounty as a crucial step towards securing the network. The collaboration aims to ensure that every blockchain has the opportunity to enhance its security, thereby protecting the broader community from potential threats.
About Shardeum
Shardeum’s innovative approach involves dynamic state sharding, which keeps gas fees low and increases transaction per second (TPS) capabilities as participation grows. The blockchain performs consensus at the transaction level and reduces the computational power needed for validator nodes, making it accessible to more participants while fostering decentralization.
About Immunefi
