SAP, an enterprise software provider, has collaborated with Adyen to launch on SAP Commerce Cloud and Open Payment Framework (OPF).
This partnership aims to streamline payment processes for retailers by eliminating manual integrations and enhancing PSP management.
Enhancing Retailer Payments with SAP OPF
As a cloud-native expansion of SAP Commerce Cloud, the Open Payment Framework offers fully integrated eCommerce payment capabilities. It supports dimple deployment, quicker reconciliation, and access to Adyen’s diverse payment methods without requiring significant development work.
Freedom Furniture, an Australian home retailer, is among the first merchants globally to adopt this new solution. It aligns with the retailer’s omnichannel strategy by reducing complexity and accelerating time-to-market for payments across the entire lifecycle. SAP views Freedom Furniture as a model of how businesses can benefit from seamless integrations between SAP Commerce Cloud and technology partners like Adyen, leveraging OPF to reduce integration costs while enhancing customer payment experiences.
The service is now available to all SAP Commerce Cloud merchants worldwide. Future collaborations will see Adyen and SAP working closely together on embedded payments within the SAP ecosystem, including AI-driven applications, loyalty programs, and financial services. As an early adopter of OPF, Adyen continues to prioritize providing scalable payment infrastructure for enterprise retailers, reinforcing its dedication to partnership with SAP and assisting merchants in modernizing their payment technologies.
Following this collaboration, Adyen also partnered with Prommt, a cloud-based remote payment solution provider, to expand payment options in the hospitality sector. This integration supports hotels using Oracle OPERA by improving operations and fraud prevention.
