Revolut, a financial services provider, has partnered with Booking.com, an online travel platform, to integrate Revolut Pay into its checkout process. This collaboration follows the growing popularity of Revolut Pay among users, with nearly two million monthly active users as of now.
Enhancing Payment Options for Travelers
Customers can now use Revolut Pay to make payments for accommodation by seamlessly redirecting through the Revolut app. Future integrations are planned, with plans to include flights and car reservations in the near future. Transactions are completed via biometric authorization within the Revolut app, providing multiple currency options.
Approximately nine million of Revolut’s customers have previously used Booking.com for their bookings, indicating significant overlap between both user bases. Booking.com now stands as the largest travel partner offering Revolut Pay.
Facilitating Seamless Transactions
Revolut aims to embed its payment tools in platforms where its users frequently conduct business, emphasizing speed and security during transactions. Representatives from Booking.com stated that their goal is to simplify the booking process by offering digital payment methods such as Revolut Pay.
In another development, Booking.com has started using Revolut Business for internal operations, signifying confidence in its business tools and potentially heralding further collaborative efforts. Additionally, travelers using Revolut Pay can earn RevPoints, which are redeemable for travel-related rewards or other incentives through the Revolut app.
