Rappi, a comprehensive platform for goods and services, has partnered with AstroPay to introduce the first wallet-on-file integration in Argentina, Brazil, and Peru, facilitating currency payments.

This partnership enhances Rappi’s offerings by including ultra-fast delivery options under 10 minutes, integrated financial services, and features like Cravings and Favors.

Strategic Market Expansion

The launch of this integration coincides with the rapid growth of Latin America’s cross-border payment market, which is expanding at a rate of 47% annually. This expansion is driven by increased freelance work and global digital commerce. For users, this means instant checkout options using balances in USD, EUR, or local currencies, complete with real-time foreign exchange conversion, and no delays associated with card transactions.

For Rappi, the initiative serves both strategic and operational purposes. By integrating AstroPay, Rappi reduces processing costs, avoids chargebacks, and increases transaction conversion by bypassing traditional card procedures.

The Rise of Embedded Payments

AstroPay is a widely used digital wallet and payment method, embraced by millions and accepted by thousands of businesses globally. It offers a multi-currency wallet and an integrated card, allowing users to send, receive, and spend money instantly from a single app.

The integration is currently active in Argentina, Brazil, and Peru, with plans to expand into additional Rappi markets throughout 2025. Early adopters will enjoy cashback and in-app perks when linking their AstroPay wallet.
