Qvik facilitates wise payment requests for Hungarian customers.

Wise has launched Qvik requests for customers in Hungary, allowing private users to transfer money from their Hungarian bank accounts directly to their Wise HUF balance swiftly and without the financial transaction duty typically charged on standard domestic transfers.

Developed by the National Bank of Hungary and built on the country’s Instant Payment System, Qvik enables users to start a pre-filled payment request through the Wise app. This request can be sent to any Hungarian bank account held under their name. Once approved in the user’s banking app, funds will instantly appear in their Wise account.

Fee Context and Practical Benefits

Beginning in 2022, domestic transfers in Hungary have been subject to a financial transaction duty, often passed on to customers. Transfers initiated using Qvik by private individuals are exempt from this duty, making it a free alternative for Hungarian Wise users looking to replenish their HUF balance from a local bank account.

This integration streamlines the process of moving money into Wise, reducing both the hassle and cost involved for Hungarian customers. Wise will discuss further digital payment advancements at the Financial IT conference on May 28, 2026.
