Ozone API has partnered with Plaid, facilitating financial institutions in North America to adopt Open Banking standards more efficiently.

Partnership Highlights

Ozone API will join Plaid’s FDX-enabled Gateway Partner Programme, enabling banks and other financial entities to integrate Ozone API’s FDX-compliant platform directly with Plaid’s infrastructure. This integration allows institutions to connect customers to thousands of applications across Plaid’s network, which includes over 12,000 financial institutions and 8,000 fintech providers.

Promoting FDX Adoption

Through this partnership, Plaid aims to support a broader range of financial institutions in adopting modern API standards. By delivering Ozone API as a pre-integrated solution within its system, institutions can launch Open Banking services without extensive internal development.

Representatives from Ozone API indicate that the integration with Plaid’s programme will expedite the deployment of secure and scalable open finance solutions while ensuring compliance with regulatory and technical standards. They emphasize that this collaboration supports their broader goal of advancing commercial Open Banking in North America.

Plaid’s Perspective

Officials from Plaid view the addition of Ozone API to their partner programme as part of an ongoing effort to enhance API access, ensuring institutions can meet security, agility, and compliance requirements in digital financial services.

This development combines Plaid’s existing financial connectivity infrastructure with Ozone API’s focus on Open Banking standards, enabling institutions to implement Embedded Finance use cases and expand their digital service offerings.
