Walmart-backed fintech company OnePay has added wireless plans to its customer offerings.
OnePay’s move within the fintech sector
This expansion aligns with trends in the fintech industry, where companies such as Klarna and Nubank have introduced a range of services under one umbrella. Wireless services represent another step towards creating super apps that encompass various financial and non-financial products through a single account.
OnePay’s wireless plan
OnePay has launched its OnePay Wireless plan, which relies on Gigs, an operating system provider for mobile services. Through Gigs, businesses can function as MVNOs (mobile virtual network operators) without the need to build their own infrastructure or employ additional staff.
The current offering includes a single prepaid plan priced at $35 per month, providing unlimited talk and text, along with 5G data via AT&T, and 10GB of mobile hotspot data. Previously, CNBC reported on this collaboration, but OnePay did not provide additional comments.
Collaborations for expansion
In June 2025, OnePay partnered with Synchrony to introduce a credit card program, featuring both general-purpose and private label cards. Mastercard would supply the payment infrastructure for these offerings within the OnePay app.
