OneBanks and Moneyhub work to sustain community banking.

The partnership aims to maintain access to essential banking services for UK communities affected by the closure of bank branches. The OneBanks shared branch concept will allow customers who prefer face-to-face interactions during basic banking transactions to continue utilizing such services through fully staffed kiosks located in high-traffic areas, such as supermarkets, shopping centers, and bus or railway stations.

First Pilot Initiative

A pilot project is currently underway in Denny, Scotland, with plans to expand to additional locations across the UK for further trials in 2021. These initiatives are designed to provide a friendly and secure environment where customers can access their balances, make bill payments, deposit or withdraw cash.

Tech Integration

Moneyhub, serving as the technical services provider for OneBanks, will power these kiosks by leveraging Moneyhub’s Open Banking data API. This integration ensures that key functionalities are available, including balance access, bill payments, and cash transactions, all conducted securely with customer consent.
