Enhancing Payment Services through Collaboration
Nexi Group, a prominent payment service provider, has broadened its partnership with Zucchetti, an Italian software firm. This collaboration is aimed at improving integrated payment services for merchants in Europe, particularly those operating within the hospitality and retail sectors.
The initiative involves the integration of Nexi’s payment acceptance infrastructure with Zucchetti’s business software suite, which includes TCPOS, a widely-used point-of-sale system. The new platform intends to simplify payment processes and reduce technical complexity faced by merchants managing multiple systems.
Regional Rollout Plans
The partnership will initially be launched in Switzerland before expanding into the DACH region. This follows an initial collaboration between Nexi and Zucchetti in Italy, which has now been extended to include more sectors such as retail.
Zucchetti officials emphasized that this partnership is part of their strategy to adapt to evolving consumer expectations, particularly with the increasing preference for digital transactions over cash. They also noted that the expanded cooperation aligns with both companies’ goals of developing unified commerce solutions that can evolve with future developments in retail and hospitality across Europe.
The collaboration underscores a broader trend in Europe’s payments industry where partnerships between payment technology firms and enterprise software providers are becoming crucial to digital commerce advancements.
