Network International, a fintech and digital payments provider in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, has partnered with Saudi Sudanese Bank to offer comprehensive payment processing solutions.

This collaboration aims to deliver Mastercard sponsorship, prepaid card issuance, and various value-added services to enhance Saudi Sudanese Bank’s digital capabilities. The partnership is expected to boost operational efficiency, improve transaction security, and facilitate the deployment of scalable digital financial products for both retail and corporate customers.

Saudi Sudanese Bank plays a crucial role in facilitating cross-border trade and financial flows between Sudan and regional markets. By integrating fintech solutions, this partnership seeks to modernize the local banking ecosystem, streamline trade settlement processes, and open new avenues for investment and remittances as Sudan continues its efforts to rebuild and revamp its financial infrastructure amid increasing demand for digital banking services.

Enhancing Financial Inclusion in Sudan

Sudan’s payments landscape remains predominantly cash-based, with digital transactions constituting a minor portion of total payment volumes. According to World Bank data, less than 20% of adults in Sudan have access to formal banking services, and mobile and card-based payments lag behind regional averages. However, the country has a population exceeding 45 million and is witnessing a rapidly growing youth demographic, which creates significant long-term demand for accessible digital financial services.

Network International processes billions of transactions annually and supports over 200 financial institutions globally. Its platform manages more than 100 million cards worldwide, providing scalable infrastructure that enables banks to launch digital payment products efficiently while adhering to international security and compliance standards. Leveraging this scale and expertise, Saudi Sudanese Bank is set to expedite its digital transformation and broaden access to financial services within Sudan.

The agreement was formalized at Cairo ICT 2025, a regional technology and telecoms event, highlighting the significance of cross-market collaboration in driving financial innovation. This partnership aligns with Network International’s broader strategy to strengthen its presence in high-growth African markets and support banks seeking robust, future-proof payment solutions.
