EGBANK has partnered with Mastercard to enhance its debit, credit, and commercial card services while broadening its digital payment services.

Expanding Customer Reach

This collaboration is anticipated to assist EGBANK in reaching new customer segments, especially those within the premium and affluent categories.

As part of this agreement, Mastercard will contribute by developing customized financial products for EGBANK’s card portfolio. The aim is to cater to changing consumer demands and support Egypt’s shift towards digital payment adoption.

Focusing on Product Diversity

According to representatives from EGBANK, the initiative aligns with the bank’s strategy of increasing product diversity to serve both current and prospective clients better. The bank anticipates expanding its customer base by integrating more advanced payment capabilities into its services.

Mastercard officials emphasized that this partnership is part of a broader objective to build a more inclusive digital financial ecosystem in Egypt, focusing on increasing access to digital tools for long-term financial resilience.

EGBANK currently offers various banking services to individuals, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and large corporations. Its digital offerings include mobile and internet banking platforms that enable users to manage accounts and perform transactions remotely.

Mastercard’s Other Initiatives

In 2025, Mastercard has also formed partnerships in the EEMEA region, including one with Emirates NBD to improve the bank’s digital payment offerings.

Through this collaboration, Emirates NBD integrated Mastercard Gateway into its Emirates NBD Pay platform, enhancing transaction speed and security. The partnership aimed to boost digital payment adoption across key markets like retail, hospitality, and real estate in the Middle East, North Africa, and Turkey.
