Enhancing User Experience Across the Nordics
Pivo, with its advanced cloud-native platform, enables companies like Lunar to introduce innovative payment solutions swiftly. This partnership also provides access to Visa’s comprehensive suite of Value-Added Services, including AI-driven fraud prevention tools and a seamless digital user experience.
Pismo was acquired by Visa in January 2024, offering a versatile platform that supports core banking, payment processing, card issuing, digital wallets, lending, corporate banking, and financial asset management. Pismo’s system is designed to work across various networks and geographies.
By transitioning to the Pismo platform, Lunar intends to deliver superior services to its customers in Denmark, Sweden, and Norway. This move will allow for faster service delivery, improved user interactions with payments, and reduced reliance on outdated systems. According to Lunar’s representatives, this partnership grants them greater flexibility in launching new products, aligning with their mission of simplifying modern banking.
Lunar plans to begin using the Pismo platform early in 2026. The switch is expected to result in secure and efficient Visa card experiences for users while enabling Lunar to scale customer engagement through flexible features.
In related news, Lunar has also partnered with Wise Platform to introduce optimal cross-border payments within Scandinavia via its Moonrise banking infrastructure. This initiative allows Lunar users to send money internationally to over 160 countries using the Wise app.
