Ingenico has unveiled its innovative AXIUM payment device range and the Ingenico 360 cloud platform.
The company, based in France, highlights these solutions as integral components for scaling enterprise-level payment operations and services.
Developed concurrently, the AXIUM devices and the Ingenico 360 platform were crafted by Ingenico’s French-based teams to work seamlessly together.
Shared Architecture Across Various Form Factors
The AXIUM family features a unified architecture that caters to diverse formats such as mobile, countertop, multilane, self-service, PIN pads, and SoftPOS. Each device is certified for PCI PTS version 7 and runs on Android 14 with potential for future upgrades. The design incorporates functionalities like digital identity verification, support for stablecoins, loyalty program integration, and electronic receipt issuance.
This shared architecture aims to simplify certification processes and lifecycle management across various deployment environments while ensuring consistent security and compliance standards globally.
Cloud-Based Platform for Payment Operations
Ingenico 360 consolidates device management, transaction processing, POS connectivity, application hosting, merchant tools, analytics, digital receipts, and developer resources into a single platform. Real-time monitoring and remote management capabilities are included to facilitate issue detection and resolution in distributed device networks.
The platform operates across Europe, the Americas, and Asia-Pacific, supporting Ingenico’s global payment device deployment. Customers can progressively implement platform modules and expand functionalities without needing to alter existing infrastructure.
Ingenico officials noted that the platform offers a flexible foundation for adapting payment experiences as market demands evolve.
Internal Control Over Technology Stack
Ingenico retains direct control over hardware design, software development, cloud infrastructure, and support functions for both AXIUM devices and the 360 platform. All engineering work is handled by the company’s French-based teams, ensuring full ownership of the technology stack and intellectual property.
This approach helps address data sovereignty requirements and supply chain considerations for businesses operating in multiple jurisdictions. It also allows Ingenico to swiftly respond to security updates, compliance changes, and regulatory requirements independently.
