ING Germany has launched a new service by partnering with Wero, enabling customers to send and receive money instantly and securely.

With this collaboration, users can transfer funds from one bank account to another simply by sharing a phone number. There is no need for IBANs or third-party services, making the process straightforward for splitting bills, sending gifts, or settling debts with friends and family.

Currently, Wero is available only for individual accounts; however, future plans include expanding to joint account features. Clients can easily send or request money directly from their phone contacts without an IBAN.

Details of ING Germany’s Service Integration with Wero

To activate the service, customers need to navigate to their ING app and locate Wero within their current account settings. They then click on the gear icon in the upper right corner, select Wero, enter their phone number, and confirm it using an SMS code.

Both ING Germany and Wero are dedicated to addressing customer needs while maintaining compliance with industry regulations. Their future plans aim to develop a comprehensive European payment solution supporting secure transactions across multiple countries in the region.
