The Edge+ CSB Bank RuPay Credit Card integrates traditional credit card features with UPI payment capabilities through the RuPay network.
This card, accessible only via Jupiter’s application, enables users to conduct transactions using their available credit line while also offering tools for tracking expenses and flexible reward options like statement credits, bill payments, cashback, or Digital Gold.
Company representatives highlighted that this launch is part of Jupiter’s broader strategy to broaden its personal finance services portfolio, which currently includes debit cards, mutual funds, SIPs (Systematic Investment Plans), and related financial products.
Scapia introduces dual-network travel credit card
Concurrently, Scapia has partnered with Federal Bank to introduce a co-branded travel credit card. This Scapia Federal RuPay Credit Card operates on both the RuPay and Visa networks, supporting UPI payments, international transactions, and offline/online purchases within one unified credit limit and billing cycle.
Representatives from Scapia stated that this product is unique in India as it provides native UPI functionality through the RuPay network alongside global acceptance via Visa.
These new cards come at a time when there is an increasing trend among card issuers to incorporate UPI support, aligning with India’s growing preference for mobile-first and interoperable payment solutions. The RuPay network, managed by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), has seen significant adoption as regulatory bodies and fintech companies push for enhanced digital inclusion and transaction flexibility.
