Bahrain-based ila Bank, supported by Bank ABC, has launched two new credit cards for eligible customers via the ila app. These are the ila World and the ila World Elite.
Designed to cater to different customer groups, the ila World is geared towards everyday premium banking experiences, while the ila World Elite offers enhanced benefits focused on high-value lifestyle and travel perks.
For customers applying for either card before May 31, 2026, there will be no interest charged on all purchases during their first three billing cycles.
Key Features and Benefits
The ila World Credit Card is free from annual fees and includes up to three supplementary cards at no extra cost. Rewards can be customized as airline miles, 1.5% cashback on eligible spending, or ila Tokens. Cardholders enjoy access to over 1,300 airport lounges worldwide, including the Pearl Lounge at Bahrain International Airport, as well as travel medical insurance worth up to USD 500,000, travel inconvenience protection, and a wide range of Mastercard travel and lifestyle perks such as complimentary annual airport transfers, car rental discounts, and exclusive offers from more than 250 partner merchants.
The ila World Elite Credit Card offers up to 2% cashback on all spending, complimentary valet parking at select Bahrain locations through ParkPoint and Valetch, a 15% discount on dining and spa services at The Ritz-Carlton Bahrain, and a 50% reduction in the cost of ila Premium. This service includes preferential rates, lower fees, and elevated banking privileges. It also provides cardholders with fast-track security lanes at select airports and access to a 24/7 concierge service covering travel bookings, dining reservations, event attendance, and personalized planning.
Both cards are managed through the ila app, where customers can track their spending, schedule payments, apply for supplementary cards, and explore interest-free payment plans.
Speaking about the launch, Nada Tarada, Head of Business and Customer at ila Bank, highlighted that these two cards were designed to cater to diverse customer segments, with one emphasizing flexible rewards and travel benefits, while the other offers a broader array of lifestyle and premium privileges. This rollout underscores the bank’s ongoing commitment to personalized banking experiences.
