The digitization of key revenue cycle operations has significantly improved efficiency, automation, and patient financial experience for Hackensack Meridian Health.
Following the implementation of the new system, the health network transformed over 180,000 payments from paper and manual methods to electronic via self-service online platforms or intelligent voice systems.
The solution integrates Nordis’ Expresso customer communications management (CCM) software for creating, distributing, and tracking print and digital statements with TD Bank’s eBill electronic bill presentment and payment (EBPP) system. This integration has allowed Hackensack Meridian Health to streamline its operations, using a single integrated platform to manage the entire lifecycle of patient billing and payments across 17 hospitals and over 500 ambulatory care centers, fitness and wellness centers, home health services, rehab centers, and skilled nursing centers.
Using Expresso, Hackensack Meridian Health develops, customizes, and delivers approximately 1.8 million patient statements, letters, and other financial communications annually. The system also integrates with TD Bank’s EBPP solution, enabling patients to manage their accounts online, including viewing statements and other correspondence.
