Communicate Telecoms has enhanced its partnership with GoCardless by incorporating Same Day Settlement+, a tool powered by AI and machine learning to streamline payment processing.
Promoting More Swift Payment Processes
Same Day Settlement+ allows for faster payments, placing funds directly into Communicate Telecoms’ bank account on the same day that customers are billed. This is two days quicker than traditional Direct Debit methods, thereby enhancing cash flow management and accelerating business growth.
This recent move builds upon a seven-year collaboration between Communicate Telecoms and GoCardless. Their partnership has seen the use of GoCardless’ Direct Debit solution within Xero accounting software to efficiently manage billing cycles. The automation from this integration reduces the time and resources needed to handle delayed or failed payments.
John Cooper, Managing Director at Communicate Telecoms, highlighted that by combining Same Day Settlement+ with their existing tools in Xero, the company gains more cash flow, enabling it to reinvest in business expansion.
In a related development earlier in December 2025, Octopus Energy completed its transition to GoCardless for Direct Debit operations, aiming to speed up customer refunds. Similarly, MRI partnered with GoCardless during the same period to introduce an integrated payment solution for UK rental payments, ensuring a seamless and unified process for landlords and tenants.
