Finzly introduces Token Galaxy, a platform for both traditional and tokenized banking solutions.

Finzly has introduced Token Galaxy, a component of its BankOS platform aimed at integrating traditional and tokenized financial transactions for banks.

This suite allows institutions to oversee both conventional and tokenized assets—such as stablecoins and digital deposits—in one operational ecosystem without the need for bespoke integrations with various blockchain networks or issuers.

Token Galaxy is capable of interfacing with multiple blockchains, issuers, and consortia simultaneously, facilitating bank involvement across diverse networks as the token-based financial landscape evolves. This builds upon Finzly’s existing infrastructure that already offers unified money movement through direct connections to major payment systems.

Responding to the uncertainty in tokenized finance

Banks are increasingly under pressure to clarify their role in the growing domain of tokenized assets, characterized by competing blockchain networks and stablecoin issuers. Citi’s forecasts suggest that the stablecoin issuance market could reach $1.9 trillion by 2030. Recognizing this, Token Galaxy is designed to provide banks with flexibility rather than locking them into a single network or issuer. It supports tokenized assets from multiple issuers, connects to several blockchain networks, and allows participation in consortia while maintaining a unified ledger integrity encompassing fiat and tokenized assets.

Compliance, risk management, and liquidity consolidation are managed within the same environment, eliminating the necessity of separate systems for traditional and digital asset workflows.

Potential operational use cases

The platform caters to a variety of use cases that blend conventional banking infrastructure with tokenized environments. For instance, banks can enable automatic payroll disbursements in fiat currency to be directed into tokenized accounts without altering existing payroll systems.

Token Galaxy also supports round-the-clock cross-border liquidity management through programmable money capabilities, extending real-time treasury operations beyond regular banking hours and across different currencies and counterparties. Accounts, payments, digital experience, and tokenization functions are integrated within BankOS as a unified foundation.

The product is currently accessible to existing Finzly clients and serves as an infrastructure layer for financial institutions operating in an environment where both traditional and tokenized forms of money coexist.
