EzyRemit, a digital money transfer service based in Australia, has enhanced its cross-border payment capabilities by integrating with Thunes.
This collaboration is designed to boost EzyRemit’s capability to facilitate outbound remittances from key markets like Australia, particularly targeting countries such as the Philippines, where overseas remittances play a crucial role in local economies.
Enhancing Global Reach
The partnership enables EzyRemit to directly connect to Thunes’ payment network. As a result, users gain access to real-time transfers to bank accounts, mobile wallets, cards, and cash pickup points in more than 45 countries. This integration helps EzyRemit expand its service presence into over 150 countries and solidify its operations in markets such as Australia, Japan, New Zealand, Canada, the United States, and Vietnam.
High-Demand Corridors
A major focus of this integration is on high-volume corridors like the one between Australia and the Philippines. Digital remittance flows are projected to surpass USD 183 million by 2025, growing at an annual rate of over 8% through 2029.
Thunes’ infrastructure, which includes its SmartX Treasury System for currency management and its Fortress Compliance Platform, supports EzyRemit in handling real-time payments with enhanced transparency and compliance oversight. These features are expected to aid EzyRemit’s global expansion while catering to the needs of diaspora communities that require faster and more dependable money transfer services.
Shared Ambition for Global Financial Access
The collaboration between Thunes and EzyRemit aligns with broader efforts aimed at expanding financial access and simplifying international payments. According to officials from EzyRemit, the partnership will be instrumental in supporting the company’s global expansion and fulfilling its mission to provide more efficient and accessible global money movement.
