Africa-based Flutterwave has teamed up with Clear Junction to enhance cross-border payment services.
Key Partnerships and Objectives
This strategic alliance aims to meet the growing demands of migrant workers and families who rely on reliable international remittances. Through this collaboration, Flutterwave plans to leverage Clear Junction’s expertise in cross-border trade payments and treasury services to better serve its African customer base making transactions to the UK and EU.
Currently, the enhanced service is integrated within Flutterwave’s Swap platform, a joint venture with Wema Bank and Kadavra BDC. This integration supports various Flutterwave services, including the Send App, providing users with an easy and straightforward means of conducting international transfers. By using Swap, customers can send money more efficiently, ensuring a smoother and less complaint-prone process for cross-border transactions.
The partnership is anticipated to boost transaction volumes and elevate customer satisfaction, furthering Flutterwave’s mission to connect Africa with the global market through improved cross-border payments. According to Flutterwave representatives, this cooperation will enable new and existing customers to send money faster and more easily, particularly for paying tuition fees and family-related expenses.
Other Collaborations
In addition to partnering with Clear Junction, Flutterwave has also worked with FuturePay to expand its operations across African markets. This collaboration allowed FuturePay to accept local payment methods, improve B2B transactions, and broaden its reach within the continent by integrating a single payment infrastructure.
