The CyberSecurity Association of China brings together academic institutions, individual experts, and tech companies such as Tencent and Qihu 360. Its primary mission is to promote self-regulation within the industry, accelerate the development of cybersecurity standards, advance research in this field, and foster international collaboration.

Wang Xiujun, deputy director at the China Administration of Cyberspace, expressed that the association aims to attract more cybersecurity firms to strengthen China’s position as a global internet power.

In February, China unveiled its first dedicated fund for cybersecurity, initially endowed with USD 46 million.
