Bitget Wallet Launches National QR Payment Support in Vietnam
Non-custodial crypto wallet Bitget Wallet has introduced support for national QR payments as part of its global PayFi initiative, initially live in Vietnam. This feature allows users to pay with cryptocurrency by scanning the VietQR code, a national standard adopted by local merchants.
Bitget Wallet’s move is consistent with an overarching effort to integrate crypto payments into the country’s payment infrastructure, offering direct transactions from self-custodial wallets at reduced fees and without the need for fiat currency conversion.
Payment Flexibility and Simplification
Users can now pay with stablecoins such as USDT and USDC on Ethereum, Tron, Solana, Base, TON, and BNB Chain by scanning VietQR codes. Daily transactions like dining at street vendors, restaurants, or purchasing groceries can be completed through a single scan, with automatic conversions and minimal fees.
Bitget Wallet Partners with AEON
Bitget Wallet has partnered with AEON, its licensed partner, to facilitate crypto payments across all 55 banks and payment institutions that support VietQR. The partnership aims to enable stablecoin spending at both large retailers and small businesses nationwide.
Vietnam represents the first phase of this broader launch plan, with Bitget Wallet intending similar integrations in Southeast Asia, Latin America, and other regions.
Crypto Card Payments and In-App Marketplace
Additionally, Bitget Wallet supports crypto card payments for online and in-store use from over 300 brands through its in-app marketplace. This feature is designed to give users control over their transactions, whether by scanning, tapping, or shopping within the app itself.
Users can engage in seamless transaction experiences without the need for traditional payment methods.
Cashback Promotion
From 16 June to 30 July 2025, Bitget Wallet is offering a 50% cashback on the first national QR payment made in Vietnam. This promotion is limited to the first 50,000 new users and aims to increase real-world crypto spending.
Integration with Solana Pay
Prior to this announcement, Bitget Wallet had also integrated Solana Pay, aiming to enable instant crypto payments for global users. The company’s goal is to expand the utility of crypto payments and make them more accessible for everyday use.
