Bitget, a cryptocurrency exchange platform, recently introduced the Bitget Card in selected markets across Asia Pacific. This innovative card is part of a partnership with Visa and DCS, a card-issuing infrastructure provider.

This card allows holders to convert their crypto holdings into local currency for seamless spending at any merchant accepting Visa cards. The process is handled automatically in the background without requiring manual steps.

Initially, the virtual Bitget Card is available to users in Asia Pacific regions, with a physical version set to become available soon. Issued jointly by DCS and powered by Visa’s global payment network, transactions are processed instantly via standard card channels, eliminating the need for separate crypto-to-fiat conversions.

Rewards and Features

On launch, the Bitget Card offers up to 20% cashback on qualifying transactions, with a cap of $800. For VIP members, there are enhanced rebates available, plus complimentary physical card issuance once it becomes operational.

Future enhancements are planned, including fee-free ATM withdrawals up to $100 per month and access to a global airport lounge network.

By integrating the Bitget Card into everyday spending habits, the company aligns with its Universal Exchange strategy. This initiative aims to bring together crypto assets, derivatives, and tokenized traditional assets under one umbrella, making it easier for users to transition between digital asset management and real-world transactions.

Adeline Kim, Country Manager for Singapore and Brunei at Visa, commented that the Bitget Card illustrates how payments are evolving, facilitating a smooth transition from digital assets to everyday spending through familiar card experiences. Joan Han, COO of DCS and DeCard, noted the combination of Bitget’s ecosystem, DCS’s issuing infrastructure, and Visa’s acceptance network creates a user-friendly environment for crypto holders engaging in daily payments. Gracy Chen, CEO of Bitget, highlighted that the goal is to make crypto operate seamlessly behind the scenes rather than requiring frequent user intervention.
