Alipay has partnered with Rokid to introduce in-store payment capabilities for AR Glasses, focusing on enhancing the immersive commerce experience in China. Following this announcement, Alipay’s digital payment technology and multidimensional risk control solutions will be integrated into Rokid’s AR glasses, offering customers a secure and efficient way to make payments.Starting from June 2025, users can begin experiencing these new features. Both companies will continue to prioritize meeting the evolving needs of their clients and customers while ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Enhancing Commerce Experience

The integration aims to create an optimized shopping experience for both consumers and merchants. This technology is expected to allow transactions through simple gestures or gaze, reducing friction in both physical and digital shopping environments. Additionally, it will support interactive product discovery, enabling users to access real-time information, try products virtually, receive personalized recommendations, and pay seamlessly without needing a phone or wallet.

For businesses, this initiative offers an innovative means of engaging customers through immersive experiences and location-specific promotions.

User Experience Improvements

To use the payment function on Rokid Glasses, users will need to link their Alipay account via the Rokid app and enable voice verification. The glasses are designed to scan merchants’ Alipay QR codes, with transactions confirmed by voice command. Payment details will be displayed on the screen.

Advantages include faster transaction completion compared to traditional phone-based QR payments and the convenience of not having to handle the process through a smartphone.
