RayNeo, a brand dedicated to augmented reality (AR) through wearable technology, has teamed up with Ant Group for digital payment solutions.

Together, the companies are exploring AR glasses applications across various use cases, including everyday payments and cross-border transactions. Building on existing AR glasses payment technology that allows in-store purchases by scanning Alipay QR codes, RayNeo has introduced X3 Pro AR glasses. These devices now support payments through the Alipay Tap! merchant terminal in China and will also be integrated into other RayNeo products like V3 and V3 Slim.

Simplifying Payment Processes with Wearable Technology

Alipay Tap! offers a seamless payment experience where users can make transactions by simply tapping their unlocked phones on merchant terminals or Alipay Tap! Tags, without needing an app, scanning codes, or navigating multiple screens. Adding AR glasses into the mix will further streamline this process, providing a hands-free option.

To use this feature, users can connect their RayNeo glasses to their Alipay accounts and enable voice verification. In stores, shoppers need only say “RayNeo, pay 10 renminbi,” after which the glasses will automatically scan the Alipay QR code or Tap! Merchant terminal. A final voice-confirmed payment completes the transaction.

The X3 Pro is RayNeo’s latest AI-enabled AR device, launched in May 2025, running on RayNeoOS 2.0 and featuring AI translation, immersive navigation, and intelligent recording capabilities. These features aim to deliver a smarter and tech-driven payment experience for users. The new payment functionalities are safeguarded by Alipay’s risk-control solution, ensuring that payments can only be initiated with the authorized user’s verification.

Soon, the X3 Pro will become available globally via Alipay+, Ant International’s wallet gateway service. In the future, both companies plan to further expand AR glasses applications into everyday services such as unlocking delivery lockers and paying utility bills, positioning them as an integral part of daily life and a true on-the-go personal assistant.
