The expansion builds on several years of successful partnership in the United States, allowing Canadian shoppers to utilize Affirm’s flexible payment solutions when making purchases through Williams-Sonoma and its associated brands. This includes West Elm, Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids, Pottery Barn Teen, Williams Sonoma, and Mark & Graham.
Canadian customers who qualify during the online checkout process can now spread their payments into manageable monthly installments. Affirm’s service is noted for its real-time eligibility assessment and fixed payment terms with no late or hidden fees.
Affirm broadens its presence in Canada
This move adds Williams-Sonoma to Affirm’s expanding network of Canadian retail partners, which already includes well-known names such as Amazon, Apple, Samsung, and Browns Shoes. According to Affirm’s representatives, growing demand from Canadian consumers for flexible and transparent financing options has made these services more relevant, especially in the home furnishings sector. The expanded partnership aims to offer customers additional payment flexibility without relying on traditional revolving credit.
Affirm positions itself as an alternative to conventional credit products, providing installment-based payment plans directly at the point of sale. This strategy was exemplified by Costco’s adoption of Affirm for its online shoppers in May 2025, where it offered a Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) option. Company officials indicated that this approach helped drive customer loyalty and trust amid economic uncertainty.
