By the end of March 2026, People First Bank, formerly Heritage Bank and People’s Choice, will have deployed an additional 80 ATMs that operate around the clock at all its branches across Australia.
Enhanced Smart ATMs
These new ATMs are dubbed as “Smart” and feature improved functionality. Users can now choose between USD 20, USD 50, or USD 100 notes for their withdrawals, receive digital receipts via SMS, printed ones, and also make contactless transactions using cards or mobile devices.
Branding Transition
The merger of Heritage Bank and People’s Choice in 2023 brought about the creation of People First Bank, a customer-owned financial institution in Australia. Both brand names will coexist until full transition to the new brand name is completed in 2026.
The bank has already installed these advanced ATMs at select locations including Flinders Street and Norwood in South Australia, as well as Maroochydore, Chermside, Toowoomba (Grand Central), Morayfield, and Helensvale in Queensland, previously Heritage Bank branches.
Partnership with Armaguard
The deployment of these ATMs is part of a collaboration between People First Bank and Armaguard, an Australian provider of comprehensive ATM solutions. Customers can expect uninterrupted access to their banking services during the installation process.
