Unlimit, a global financial infrastructure provider, has partnered with Brevistay, an India-based on-demand hotel booking platform that specializes in flexible short-stay room bookings.

In this collaboration, Brevistay will benefit from UPI and global card network integration via a single unified payment layer. This shift from a multi-provider approach aims to streamline its operational processes.

Brevistay’s business strategy hinges on micro-stays and immediate room reservations. To cater to high-frequency transactions that require rapid processing, the partnership is essential. It simplifies India’s complex payment landscape into a more manageable single integration layer, significantly reducing the time needed for new payment features from months to just setup time.

Context and Infrastructure Depth

India’s payment infrastructure comprises multiple rails such as UPI, domestic card networks, and international schemes, each with unique integration requirements. Managing these independently can be cumbersome and risky for platforms that handle high transaction volumes. Unlimit’s unified layer consolidates access to all these rails through a single point of connection. Additionally, its regulatory license portfolio supports Brevistay’s future expansion plans beyond the Indian market.

This partnership highlights an evolving trend in emerging markets where local payment methods are increasingly fragmented even as global payment infrastructure consolidates. For businesses like Brevistay that operate with high transaction velocity, this disparity poses a challenge that unified payment infrastructure is designed to overcome.

Irene Skrynova, CEO of Global Payments at Unlimit, explained the partnership’s benefits by stating it gives Brevistay access to essential financial infrastructure, allowing for scalable growth without the operational burden of fragmented systems.

Nikhil Kumar Pathak, CTO and Co-Founder of Brevistay, further emphasized that Unlimit’s infrastructure provides a simplified pathway through India’s payment complexity and offers flexibility to scale without being constrained by traditional financial stacks.
