This initiative is central to BanCoppel’s multi-year digital transformation strategy, aimed at boosting product issuance speed and enhancing financial access throughout the bank’s extensive retail and banking network in Mexico.
With a history of promoting financial inclusion, BanCoppel introduced unsecured lending for customers without established credit records. The SmartVista implementation continues this mission by offering a scalable, modular technology platform that supports rapid configuration and launch of both domestic (eGlobal) and international (Visa) card schemes.
Platform Features and Cardholder Benefits
The SmartVista system allows BanCoppel to develop and deploy credit card programs across its retail and banking channels. Cardholders enjoy benefits such as instant issuance, flexible control over card freezes and unlocks, immediate PIN management capabilities, tools for monitoring spending, real-time balance updates, expedited dispute resolution, and quicker chargeback processing. The platform’s low-code and no-code nature enables internal teams to customize parameters and introduce new products swiftly without extensive coding.
Integrated into BanCoppel’s broader payment ecosystem, the unified architecture aims to streamline operations and accelerate the introduction of innovative financial products. As part of its strategic growth plan, BanCoppel intends to bring millions of previously unbanked individuals into the formal financial system over the next five years.
