Amazon has introduced two new small business credit cards, the Prime Business Card and Amazon Business Card, which will be issued by U.S. Bank through the Mastercard network.
These cards are anticipated to become available in spring 2026, marking a shift from Amazon’s current American Express-branded business cards.
The Prime Business Card is aimed at Prime members and will offer 5% back on Amazon purchases. For customers without a Prime membership, the Amazon Business Card will provide 3% rewards. Both cards come with no annual fees and include rewards for spending both on and off Amazon platforms, along with flexible credit terms. Further details about additional perks are set to be released soon.
Linking with Amazon Business Ecosystem
The new cards are crafted to fit seamlessly into the Amazon Business ecosystem, offering small businesses enhanced purchasing and spend management tools. Amazon Business currently supports over eight million organizations worldwide, including 97 of the Fortune 100 companies, with annualized gross sales exceeding USD 35 billion.
With a substantial client base of more than 1.4 million small businesses in the U.S., U.S. Bank plans to extend additional services tailored for Amazon Business cardholders as part of their ongoing partnership.
In comment, Tai Koottatep, Director and General Manager of Worldwide B2B Payments and Lending at Amazon, highlighted the desire among small businesses for more flexible reward opportunities across various shopping platforms and better cash flow management tools. He stated that this partnership with U.S. Bank and Mastercard addresses these needs precisely. Eimear Creaven, President of Global Partnerships at Mastercard, underscored how the collaboration enhances value, security, and simplicity for small businesses.
