Temenos, a leading provider of banking technology, has announced that ADCB Egypt has launched Temenos Payments Hub to enhance its payments infrastructure.
With the introduction of Temenos Payments Hub, provided in partnership with ITSS, ADCB Egypt will now be able to handle SWIFT payments for both retail and business customers. Leveraging ISO 20022 MX messaging standards, this update promises richer, more detailed data, thereby improving accuracy and interoperability among financial institutions.
Improving Payment Infrastructure
The new ISO 20022-ready features within Temenos Payments Hub will help ADCB Egypt increase straight-through processing (STP), reducing the need for manual corrections. This not only accelerates settlement times but also enhances efficiency for their customers. Moreover, the centralised orchestration provided by the solution offers better visibility and control over payment flows.
As a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank Group, ADCB Egypt is leveraging Temenos Payments Hub to manage its increasing transaction volumes within a single enterprise hub. Utilizing an integrated platform for core banking and payments, the bank aims to streamline operations while maintaining agility and scalability for future growth.
Ihab Elswerkey, CEO and Managing Director of ADCB Egypt, highlighted that digital transformation is a key priority for their financial institution and forms part of their long-term growth strategy. The implementation of Temenos Payments Hub underscores this commitment, as it enhances operational efficiency and resilience while enhancing the customer experience.
Furthermore, Elswerkey noted that the project aligns with Egypt’s Vision 2030 by strengthening the country’s financial infrastructure and fostering a more inclusive, digitally driven banking sector. Collaborating with Temenos and ITSS allows ADCB Egypt to remain competitive in an evolving market environment while preserving its agility.
