Velera, a payment credit union service organization and integrated financial technology solutions provider, has been chosen by Financial Center as its card processing provider.

Efficiency for Financial Center, Convenience for Members

In their selection process, Financial Center, an institution offering services such as checking, savings, loans, and other financial services, aimed to find a company that would provide cost-effective solutions while supporting the credit union’s growth efforts.

A thorough evaluation of various providers led Financial Center to select Velera, which aligns with their needs and goals.

According to Chris Sibila, Senior Vice President of Technology and Internal Operations at Financial Center, the choice was influenced by a clear match between both organizations. Additionally, Velera’s commitment to assisting in expanding the credit union’s payments business now and in the future was crucial.

The implementation schedule for Velera will begin with debit and ATM support from July 2026, followed by credit services starting in August 2026.

Tiffany Doty, Senior Vice President of Sales at Velera, stated that the company is dedicated to enhancing efficiency for Financial Center while providing greater flexibility, security, and value each time members use their cards.

Felicia also mentioned that another credit union, 802 Credit Union, has partnered with Velera for card processing. Starting in September 2025, 802 Credit Union began receiving debit card processing services, followed by credit card processing in March 2026 after the financial institution’s focus on selecting a partner with robust technology and strong fraud prevention capabilities.
