Ingenico and Talus have partnered to introduce an Ingenico-developed SoftPOS solution to North American merchants.
This collaboration aims to offer contactless payment acceptance without the need for dedicated hardware, catering to businesses seeking flexibility in their payment solutions. The SoftPOS system enables transactions via NFC-enabled smartphones or tablets.
The deployment is versatile, covering retail, services, and food and beverage sectors. It seeks to minimize upfront costs and simplify the distribution and maintenance of payment technology.
Streamlined Payment Solutions for Various Business Environments
Built on Ingenico’s SoftPOS technology and integrated into Talus’ platform, this solution allows quick activation by merchants to start accepting payments without additional equipment. It adheres to PCI CPoC and Tap-to-Phone standards, ensuring secure transactions.
In addition to payment functions, the mobile application offers features such as inventory management, customer tracking, and real-time access to transaction data and analytics. A web-based interface supports cross-device business operations management.
Focus on Small and Mid-Sized Businesses
Ingenico officials highlighted that this partnership focuses on providing simple and secure payment experiences for small and mid-sized enterprises. Talus representatives emphasized simplifying payment acceptance by leveraging software over hardware, especially in mobile or flexible operational settings.
The companies plan to expand the SoftPOS offering through additional partnerships across North America and introduce more tools for back-office operations. Both firms view this collaboration as part of their broader efforts to adapt payment solutions to evolving merchant needs.
