LexisNexis Risk Solutions has announced the launch of an updated version of LexisNexis IDVerse, which is designed to support fraud prevention by enhancing document authentication methods.
Mitigating Fraud and Protecting Users
IDVerse utilizes proprietary AI models to assist organizations in identifying complex forms of fraud, such as deepfakes and synthetic identities. It also helps in more streamlined and secure onboarding processes for trusted users.
The technology upgrade aims to improve verification accuracy, enhance fraud detection, and offer a faster user experience by reducing the number of steps required during the verification process. The tool’s deepfake detection capabilities help businesses safeguard against evolving threats posed by forged documents and images.
IDVerse’s Features

- Conceal mode: Hides the user’s image during a selfie to maintain natural behavior while optimizing liveness detection and reducing false positives and abandonment rates;
- Document liveness verification: Uses video-based ID document capture to prevent the use of AI-generated or manipulated images;
- Efficient capture times: Shortens average capture times, making the process nearly instantaneous. Users can utilize both front and back cameras on their devices;
- Simplified user flow: Reduces the number of steps in the previous process from six screens to three, thus lowering complexity.
