Supporting Agentic Commerce Through Strategic Collaboration

Visa and Amazon Web Services (AWS) have partnered to support developers and enterprises in building agentic commerce solutions.

This collaboration involves listing Visa Intelligence Commerce on AWS Marketplace, enabling businesses and developers to connect with an expanding ecosystem of agentic commerce providers for reliable payments.

AWS and Visa also plan to publish blueprints on the public Amazon Bedrock AgentCore repository, aimed at creating multi-network agentic retail shopping, travel booking, and payment reconciliation workflows. These blueprints will facilitate complex workflow creation for developers.

Expansion of Agentic Commerce Solutions

The partnership highlights a shared commitment to optimizing agentic workloads and commerce capabilities on AWS. Visa is deploying MCP tools to support fully integrated, end-to-end agentic commerce solutions on the platform.

Inclusion of Industry Partners

Visa and AWS are working with industry partners like Expedia Group, Intuit, lastminute.com, and Eurostars Hotel Company to design and review these blueprints. Developers, solution architects, fintech builders, and independent software vendors (ISVs) can leverage these resources for accelerating the development of agentic commerce workflows.

Each blueprint integrates with Visa Intelligent Commerce MCP Server and APIs, providing secure, tokenized, and contextual payments. Multi-network commerce flow support is also on the horizon.

Quotes From David Richardson, VP of AgentCore, AWS

Currently, commerce is fragmented across multiple systems and intermediaries. Visa Intelligent Commerce and Amazon Bedrock AgentCore aim to optimize this by enabling secure and autonomous communication between agents through standardised integration via Amazon Bedrock AgentCore blueprints and embedded payments through Visa MCP Server or APIs.
