Token Security has unveiled a suite of tools aimed at assisting organizations in managing the increasing number of AI agents deployed across their systems.

This initiative seeks to expand Token Security’s existing identity governance framework to encompass autonomous models, custom GPTs, and services that utilize the Model Context Protocol.

Addressing the Rise in Internal Agent Deployment

In light of a recent increase in internal AI agent deployment, such as Moderna’s move from several hundred to several thousand agents within a year, these tools provide support for automation and efficiency. However, their proliferation creates large pools of unmanaged identities with access to sensitive systems, leading to compliance issues and potential misuse.

By offering automated discovery of both internally developed and third-party agents, the platform maps their activities and assigns oversight to human owners. Additionally, it can revoke access for dormant agents to minimize long-term, unmonitored system entry points.

Elevating Oversight Across AI Tools

HiBob has been testing these new capabilities within its HR technology environment. According to company representatives, the technology enabled oversight that was previously lacking, helping identify custom agents created by employees and ensuring that these systems operate within defined security parameters. This enhanced visibility allows for greater expansion of AI use with reduced concerns about unmonitored access.

Token Security officials highlighted that conventional identity and access management systems were designed for human users and are not well-suited to the speed and variety of autonomous agents. The platform enables security and IT teams to apply lifecycle controls to this new category of identity, from creation through deprovisioning.

The release includes continuous discovery functions, ownership assignment, permission reduction aligned with each agent’s purpose, and comprehensive audit logging across multi-agent environments. It integrates with major AI ecosystems, such as platforms from OpenAI, Anthropic, AWS, Microsoft, and others, allowing organizations to enforce consistent policies across diverse tooling.
