Fashion retailer Bonprix, part of the Otto Group, has introduced a new payment solution for its operations in the Nordic region through a partnership with Trustly. This rollout, which includes Sweden, Norway, and Finland, incorporates Trustly’s account-to-account (A2A) payment technology as part of an initiative to enhance digital transactions in these markets.

The implementation is being carried out in collaboration with Computop, a provider of global payment solutions. Bonprix representatives noted that the shift to A2A payments aims to simplify the checkout process by allowing customers to pay directly from their bank accounts, thus eliminating the need for traditional card-based transactions. This approach is also expected to help reduce cart abandonment rates across its online platforms in the Nordics.

Trusting on direct bank payments and checkout optimization, Trustly’s A2A payment method leverages open banking infrastructure and is available in over 30 countries. By enabling consumers to link directly to their banks during the payment process, this solution aims to minimize transaction friction and enhance payment security.

According to officials from Trustly, supporting Bonprix’s operations in the Nordic region aligns with the company’s broader objective of improving e-commerce payments through faster and more user-friendly methods. Partners like Computop play a crucial role in facilitating the deployment of these solutions.

Bonprix operates online stores in 16 European countries and maintains B2B presence in several additional markets. Headquartered in Hamburg, Bonprix also has operations in France, Italy, and Poland.

Improving the customer payment experience remains a key focus for Bonprix, and the collaboration with Trustly is seen as a practical step toward enhancing digital service delivery.
